Mind Over Matter
My heart skipped a beat as I learned the passing of one of my heroes, Zumbi, from the legendary Zion I. Truthfully, I went a few years without listening to Zion I. Still, when the pandemic hit, I found myself diving back into their catalog every single day. I've discovered that Zion I's music uplifts my spirit and inspires me to continue my creative journey.
Zumbi, forever, thank you for everything you gave to this world.
You are leaving the country indefinitely; what are the five things you can't live without?
I've been thinking about this a lot as my wife, and I have been seriously talking about moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Here are the top five things I'd bring with me.
Bikes. I am no stranger to bringing my bike to Thailand, but for this trip, I would definitely have to bring two! Diverge and Stumpjumper Evo?
17" Dell XPS 9700 0r 9710. Faster than the latest Macbook Pro and a screen big enough, I can still work remotely. Seriously if you are interested in getting out of the Apple ecosystem, I highly recommend you check out the latest Dell XPS laptops.
Technical Clothing. Thailand is hot as f##k! I've always been a big fan of companies that make technical clothing that looks normal. I for sure would bring at least four pairs of ORNOT shorts.
Inside Line Equipment Travel Pack + Race Day because you can wear one on the back and one on the front. Let's go!
Camera. Something small like the RX100vii and a full frame camera like the A7iii. I just ordered a A7c to try out, and I have a feeling it will be the perfect full frame travel camera.
Ride for Racial Justice at SBTGRVL
Ride for Racial Justice is a nonprofit based out of Colorado on a mission is to ensure access to resources, education, and community for BIPOC cyclists and dismantle systemic racism in cycling.
They partnered with STB GRVL to offer 25 spots for BIPOC athletes. Very stoked that our contributions from Volume 07 could provide some help to their mission.
If you bought the latest issue, thank you, this is the organization we donated it too! Click the link below to see how it went at SBTGRVL!
